The program will prepare you for obtaining a New York State licensure in Mental Health Counseling as an LMHC. You can practice in the field with a Masters.

The B.A./M.S.W. program puts students on a fast-track to an impactful career in social work. YU undergraduates can begin M.S.W. coursework in their senior year, accelerating the path to the graduate degree while saving tuition along the way. B.A./M.S.W. students begin their M.S.W. courses in the fall semester of their senior year at YC or Stern. Their first year of graduate study counts as both their last year of undergraduate study and their first year of graduate study (credits are attributed to both degrees). Students then complete one more year at Wurzweiler to earn the M.S.W. degreeācompleting both the B.A. and M.S.W. degrees in as little as five years. Our graduates go on to work in schools, hospitals, mental health clinics, addiction treatment, private practice, the military and more.

The Katz Schoolās entry-level Occupational Therapy Doctorate will prepare you for a lifetime of helping people. Occupational therapists help clients improve their quality of life, health and wellness, and connection to community. Through clinical practice, education and research, as well as program and policy development, occupational therapists help clients advocate for themselves.

M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology ā¾
The Katz Schoolās M.S. in SLP is one of the few programs in the country specializing in the medical aspects of speech-language pathology. Through our hands-on curriculum, you will engage in clinical fieldwork each semester and gain practical, hands-on experience under the guidance of faculty, supervisors and mentors.

The Pathways program is a way to get a jump start on a graduate degree while still studying as an undergraduate student at YU. Students accepted into a Pathways dual degree program will be allowed to take graduate courses to fulfill both undergraduate and graduate degree requirements. Students accepted into the early assurance program will secure their spot a year ahead of the admissions cycle into a highly competitive graduate degree.
Tuition for graduate courses taken during your undergraduate years will be included in your undergraduate tuition so there are NO additional tuition charges for those courses! By participating in a Pathways dual degree program, you will be saving time, money or both towards the completion of a graduate degree. For example, if you begin a Pathways dual degree program during your junior year and take 1 graduate course (3 credits) per semester during your junior and senior year, you would have earned 12 graduate credits.

Yes! That is one of the main benefits of our Pathways dual degree programs. Students will be able to take graduate courses that count both towards their undergraduate and eventual graduate requirements.
We encourage YU undergraduate students to inquire about the programs they are considering as early as freshman year. This allows you to plan your coursework early enough to make the most of your time as an undergraduate student.
A student may only enroll in one Pathways program. You may take classes in other graduate programs and receive undergraduate credit with permission from the undergraduate and graduate deans. Those additional courses will not count towards a graduate degree.
