Student Health staff reviews immunization history of entering students to ensure compliance with New York State Public Health Law, which requires that all students have proof of measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) immunization history and complete a meningitis acknowledgment form.

Completed forms should be uploaded within your admissions application in the Supplemental Items section at yu.edu/apply .

Employees and students who test positive for COVID-19 should follow the CDC Guidelines regarding preventing the spread of respiratory viruses, which states:

Go back to your normal activities when, for at least 24 hours, both are true:

Your symptoms are getting better overall, and
You have not had a fever (and are not using fever-reducing medication)

Students and employees working in a healthcare setting must follow the policies of the specific settings in which they are currently working or interning.

When experiencing any illness or other need to be absent, employees should communicate with their supervisor or dean and students should communicate with their faculty.

If you are a US Citizen, you may be enrolled in a family or employer plan. If your plan has a network of providers in New York City, you can apply for a waiver. You will get an email sent to your student email account with instructions on how to access the waiver/enrollment form.

On the left, go to the Waiver or Student & Dependent Enrollment Form
Enter your student ID and birthdate
Follow the instructions to complete the form. If waiving the insurance, have your current health insurance ID card ready as you may need this information in order to complete the waiver form.
